ABOUT ME

DRAWING: FIRST LANGUAGE

I don't really remember when I started drawing. It just feels like that's always been my first language. I used to draw anything, on anything, just to keep it going.

Back in my skater days, the crew called me Stinky. Not because I smelled bad but because I was the meanest pranker in the crew. That kind of name sticks so, today, at 47, people still call me Stinky, even though I'm not a mean pranker anymore.

Years passed. Life happened and I became the Hair Guy. A hair designer. But somewhere between hair designing, life and curiosity, STK.wear showed up.

I started experimenting with bleach painting and airbrush. With no rules, no templates, just figuring things out piece by piece. Every T-shirt, hoodie or fabric I touch becomes a canvas I don't fully control.

And that's exactly why I love doing this. The dopamine rush I get after finishing a piece is hard to match.

I don't see myself as an artist. But every piece I make surprises me a bit. Most of what I create ends up on friends and friends of friends. That's why I like to joke about it:
